Reality Continues to Ruin My Life

Moi!

Moi!

So says Bill Watterson,  at this point  I have to agree.

I should start off by introducing myself. I’m Sarah and I’m from Alabama, thus the name Sarah Bama. I say that because here in California most people have never met an Alabamian, mostly because they tend to not leave the South. I’m not knocking the South by any means, it will always be my heritage. I just figured out at an early age that I was not like everyone else, I wanted more and that has never changed.

Long story short: I moved to San Francisco, California in July of 2007 to look for adventure. A little over five years into this “adventure” and I have a sour taste in my mouth.

Growing up in the South I was taught to go to school and find a “decent job”. Meet a nice boy, settle down, and push out a few kids. “The American Way” doesn’t sound like the way for me. Not that I haven’t met a nice boy and that I don’t want to have kids, I want to do it on my own terms.

I don’t want to pretend to be content anymore. Life is too short to do something that doesn’t make you happy. I’m making a stand and I’ve decided to do what makes me happy. Big changes upcoming so stay tuned!

  1. Good to travel and have fun when you are young. Work will come. People who forget to enjoy life first will regret they went to a career job and missed the days of being young and free. I like your photos and thoughts.
