After staying up late and enjoying San Sebastian, we were both running on empty. Needing a little break we booked a hotel in Biarritz, France and took a hour and a half bus to the French beach town. Biarritz is only a quick drive but it couldn’t have been more different than San Sebastian. The French have a way of making the most mundane things seem glamorous. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxation, normal dinner times, and walking on the beach. After three mellow nights, delicious French food, and spending WAY too much money we began the 10 hour journey to Madrid.
